Business Development Manager

Your tasks

  • To explore and close new business opportunities as DACHSER expands its presence and market share in your allocated sales territory
  • Develop new business and prospects with a hunting and growth mindset across small, medium and large clients
  • Grow new and develop existing business relationships to grow your pipeline and achieve/exceed the sales targets agreed upon
  • Be confident in approaching prospects, presenting freight rates and running client meetings
  • Being one of the major forwarding players globally, DACHSER is involved in multi-lane and multi-country tenders. Successful candidates will need to have the skills and confidence to present our solutions at board and C-Level.
  • Engaging management/Head of Sales for additional support as required to close opportunities
  • Maintain and extend relationships with your clients with a focus on industry and market development trends
  • Provide updated quotations and conduct regular client visits
  • Monitor market trends and keep clients updated on latest developments as affects their business
  • Prepare various sales-related reports, proposals and presentations
  • Keep company CRM records updated
  • Work in a positive and productive way with internal sales support and operations DACHSER teams

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor holder in Sales & Marketing / Business Management
  • At least 3 years of sales and account management experience within international freight forwarding or related industry
  • Proficient in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Experience in CargoWise and a Sales CRM tool would be beneficial
